Medicinal Uses: Harvest the above ground portion of the plant the summer to make tea and tincture. Skullcap is a wonderful herb for insomnia, pain (specifically headaches), muscle spasms, stress and panic attacks. It's best used fresh so tincturing the herb is usually the best way to go. Even though the tea of the fresh plant is a much stronger sedative.
Permaculture Uses: Great ground cover plant for moist and shady habitats.
